My Journey into Gemmotherapy: A Personal Story
I’m often asked how I found my way to gemmotherapy. Honestly, it’s a story close to my heart, full of twists, lessons, and unexpected moments that shaped who I am today.
The Seed of Curiosity
If you ask me when it all started, I’d say seven years ago, when my family was battling a relentless staphylococcal infection. But in truth, the roots of this journey go much deeper—right back to my childhood.
Even as a child, I instinctively avoided pills. As a teenager, I endured migraines and painful periods but always hesitated to take medication. My mom respected my choice and would simply place the pill on the table, letting me decide. Most of the time, I chose to wait it out.
My grandmother was another big influence—my dearest and most beloved. She struggled with chronic illnesses but always believed in healing. “There has to be a way out,” she’d say. Watching her endure pain made me wonder deeply about healing and my role in it—not just for myself, but for others too.
Lessons from My Father
My father also had a profound impact. He faced numerous health challenges but never relied on conventional medicine. Instead, he turned to fasting, running, yoga, and meditation—practices that were incredibly uncommon in the Soviet Union during the 80s and 90s.
He introduced me to books that shaped my perspective, like Vladimir Levi’s The Art of Being Yourself, which taught me to listen to my body and take responsibility for my health. Later, he gave me books on yoga and the power of the mind. These lessons stayed with me, shaping my belief that healing is deeply personal. The responsibility for our well-being lies within us.
Discovering Homeopathy
My introduction to homeopathy was a turning point. When my second child was eight months old, we went on a family vacation and all fell ill with an adenovirus infection. Despite following medical advice, the illnesses lingered.
The worst came when my youngest developed otitis media. Antibiotic injections didn’t help, and his condition worsened. An ambulance doctor bluntly told me: “No more medications for this child—they’re too dangerous.” Desperate, I turned to a homeopathic doctor recommended by a neighbor.
That doctor became a trusted guide for five years and my first mentor in homeopathy. She encouraged me to study, and under her guidance, I began learning homeopathic remedies and using them for my children.
Over time, I met other amazing mentors who deepened my knowledge. Eventually, I formally trained in homeopathy, immersing myself in its principles and practices.
How Gemmotherapy Found Me
Homeopathy has been my companion for over 20 years, but gemmotherapy entered my life much later. Seven years ago, my entire family—including our five children—faced a severe staphylococcal furunculosis outbreak. It was relentless and exhausting, physically and emotionally.
We tried everything: antibiotics, homeopathy, herbal medicine, bacteriophages. Nothing worked. At our lowest point, I read about gemmotherapy in a Facebook group. Intrigued, I searched for practitioners but couldn’t find anyone familiar with it. So, I decided to learn it myself.
I ordered Lauren Hubele’s books and started her courses. One thing led to another, and as a gift from my husband, I traveled to France to meet Lauren in person. What I didn’t know back then was that years later, I would move to that very town, finding refuge there during the war in Ukraine.
A Life-Changing Encounter in France
Meeting Lauren in a small French town felt like a dream. We spent days walking, talking, and sharing knowledge. She told me:
“I was lucky to have mentors who shared everything with me. Passing on that gift is important.”
Her words stuck with me, and her guidance became the foundation for my work as a gemmotherapist.
Why Gemmotherapy?
Gemmotherapy feels like a natural continuation of my journey. It combines my love for holistic healing with deep respect for the body’s innate ability to regenerate and restore itself. Gemmoextracts are now at the core of my practice, helping me support others in their healing journeys.
This story isn’t just about my profession—it’s about my life. It’s a testament to the power of curiosity, resilience, and the belief that healing is always possible. 🌿
