Description
Common Box, Buxus sempervirens
Common Box (or Boxwood) Gemmo is a specialized extract with powerful actions. It inhibits irregular cell growth and resolves localized inflammation when used as part of a protocol with complementary extracts.
Why Olena Loves Common Box Gemmo
Common Box is one of those extracts that you may not need often, but when the situation calls for it, its actions are truly remarkable. Its specificity and strength make it invaluable in the right circumstances.
The Common Box Shrub
The Common Box, or Boxwood, is native to western and southern Europe, the Himalayan Plateau, and Japan, extending east through the northern Mediterranean to Turkey. It thrives as a dense evergreen shrub, often found growing on chalky or limestone soils, either under larger forest trees or in open dry montane scrub, particularly in the Mediterranean.
Boxwood is exceptionally adaptable and long-lived, with some specimens surviving up to 600 years. Its resilience and ability to thrive in varied conditions reflect its powerful potential as an extract.
